Children are born with an innate sense of wonder. They begin their lives already demonstrating the skills of a scientist - observing and questioning the environment to make sense of the world around them. When adults in their life support this kind of self-discovery and problem solving, children learn that they can guide their learning and become life-long learners which leads to success in school and life. Inquiry based learning is about children building on interests and experiences. The educational movement of STEM, STEAM and STREAM is based on this inquiry-driven learning. Participants will learn their role of a facilitator of children’s learning through questioning strategies and fostering observation and discovery.
