Friends of Bangor is delighted to welcome Susan Woods, who will talk about her own journey with Mindfulness, present her new book, answer questions and lead a short practice during this online event.

Susan is committed to providing teachers with resources to develop their skills within and beyond a formal teacher training context, and this comprehensive guide offering detailed instructions is based on decades of experience in teaching, training and curriculum development. Susan Woods www.slwoods.com trains future MBSR and MBCT teachers around the world. She developed the MBSR and MBCT professional certification programs at the Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, University of California at San Diego, USA; is a senior mentor and supervisor, and senior faculty at the Center for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto, Canada. She has presented on the clinical application of mindfulness at numerous conferences and published on the training of health professionals in mindfulness-based skills. She is co-author of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: Protocol, Practice, and Teaching Skills (2021) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy – Embodied Presence and Inquiry in Practice (2019).
