Join us for a midday story time for both children and adults! Carey Wallace will read from her most recent book, STORIES OF THE SAINTS, a lushly illustrated survey of the lives of saints from Augustine to Mother Teresa.
Our executive editor, Mary Kenagy Mitchell, wrote this in a recent Image Update: “The kids pounced, and it’s easy to see why—before you even get to Wallace’s engaging prose, the book is gorgeous. . . . In Wallace’s brisk, energetic storytelling, [the saints] represent a full, glorious spectrum of humanity in its absurd and inspiring attempts to live up to God’s call. A novelist, Wallace captures the foibles and triumphs of the saints in compact, elegant vignettes.”
CAREY WALLACE is the author of several books including STORIES OF THE SAINTS, THE BLIND CONTESSA’S NEW MACHINE, and THE GHOST IN THE GLASS HOUSE.
