ServeMICity Training: Data Driven Decision-Making: Introduction to Using Good Data for Decision-Making

With significant new state and federal resources available now, communities have an opportunity to invest in long-needed programs and infrastructure to improve quality of life for their residents and businesses. But what projects and programs should be a priority? How will you identify community needs and prioritize investments?
This training will help local leaders understand how to access and use reliable data to make decisions about priority projects and investments. Not only will this improve your decision-making, it will help make grant applications more competitive and enable your community to evaluate the impacts of those investments.

Attendees will explore the fundamentals of data use, where they can go to easily access data (with a focus on housing), and will learn tools for identifying good data sources and simple ways to incorporate data into your decision-making process.
