This month's DAA Atlanta meetup theme is "Creating Luck In Analytics" or "being prepared." Getting professionally prepared will mean something different to everyone because your professional experiences are unique.

Coveted analytics positions typically require common skills, tools, and strategic understanding. To be successful in high-profile analytics positions require a core set of skills and probably some additional skills for your tool kit. The skills that I need are likely to be different from the skills you might need. So the question is, how do you clearly define your skill gaps.
