Falcon Lake Findings

Guests speaker: Phil Trottier

Phil Trottier has been an active amateur archaeologist since the mid 1960s. He worked on several sites across Manitoba and headed up a number of excavations during that time. Phil will be discussing the material by level found at the Falcon Lake site during the limited 1973 excavation, in comparison to material that was previously excavated. An analysis of the lithic artifacts and debris shows linkages to occupation sequences. An ecologically oriented approach to the faunal analysis seems to reveal more than just seasonality of occupation.
