Grab an early dinner and join us on Zoom to make dessert. We'll be making crepes with Rondout mom, Marina Rivelis, and her family (Nicholas and Ben). Marina, who's hobby turned into a full time activity (A Taste of Real Food), recognized at a young age that food played a special role in her family life. Growing up in Argentina, her Spanish and Italian grandparents taught Marina that food invokes connection, culture, nostalgia and memories.
Marina loves cooking because "when I'm in the kitchen, I feel like time stops. There is this special connection when the family is gathered…Food not also nourishes the body but also our souls."
Equipment: Bowl, non-stick pan, cutting board, blender (optional)
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cup whole milk, 1 cup flour, 2 eggs, 1 TB soft butter (More butter for the pan).
Optional Ingredients: 1/4 tsp salt - Vanilla extract - Lemon / Orange zest - 1 TB sugar
