NEA Big Read - Virtual Book Discussion
HCPL is proud to partner with Maryland Public Television (MPT) to bring "NEA Big Read" to Harford County!

Join us for a special virtual book discussion of the memoir, Lab Girl, by award-winning scientist Hope Jahren.
Call your favorite HCPL branch to get details on how you can receive a free copy of Lab Girl by Hope Jahren...while supplies last.

Geared toward those from 11th grade to adult.

The NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. It broadens the understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book.

This event will be presented virtually on ZOOM.

A valid email address is needed at registration and once registered, you will receive a confirmation email from ZOOM containing the link and your unique password to this event. You will also receive a reminder email from ZOOM one hour before the scheduled start.

Call your favorite HCPL branch to get details on how you can receive a free copy of Lab Girl by Hope Jahren...while supplies last but you can also borrow a copy of the book through the library. Please visit the library's website to find the book in our catalog. You can place a hold for the book at any branch or find a copy in our digital content via Overdrive. https://hcplonline.org/digitallibrary.php

You can still participate in this discussion even if you do not have computer access. ZOOM provides a telephone number that you can dial in to join the zoom discussion. That will come in the ZOOM registration email.
