Due to the tremendous amount of interest, we have split this into two sessions roughly based on K-8 and 9-12 grade bands, in order to reduce the number of participants:
-- Session 1: 12:00-1:30pm ET for K-8 teachers + K-12 district/curriculum roles
-- Session 2: 2:00-3:30pm ET for 9-12 teachers + postsecondary
Please join one of these two sessions. We hope you can still make it! :)
Since there are large numbers of participants, this will be more of a presentation than initially expected, as Shana and Michelle will be unable to provide individual support. We have reduced from 2.5 hours to 1.5 hours. However, they will potentially offer a small (~20 person) master class (meeting regularly throughout the year) through CSTA that will go deeper and provide more intensive support.
Join Equity Fellows Shana V. White and Michelle G. Lee for an interactive workshop. They will share an anti-racist and student affirming lesson planning framework and process and guide you through this process.
In order to effectively engage in this workshop, please come with strong knowledge of your school community, community demographics, and problems in the community that students can try to solve.
