It's no surprise that uncertainty is sweeping our country as fast as Covid is. People are scared and on edge, and they're only getting more concerned as 2020 keeps dropping more surprises on us. An out of control pandemic, recent protests and a racial reckoning, and of course the upcoming election have created the perfect storm of anxiety. Who can we trust? How will we get through this? Most Americans, especially Black Americans, struggle to find a place (either online or IRL) where they can be their own best, authentic selves.
As we head into perhaps the most significant election of our lifetimes, traditional polls don’t give the depth of understanding that many researchers seek. The multi-cultural, multi-generational team from Zebra Strategies, Gazelle Global, and Southpaw Insights joined forces to conduct a pre-election pulse survey of 2,000 Black and white Americans. We went beyond candidate preferences and opinions on policy issues and did a deep dive into people's emotions and experiences-- and their hopes and fears.
