Find out how Yardscaping can reduce the time, energy and resources spent on your yard and garden while helping to also lower the impact on as well as benefit the environment. Join us via Zoom to learn the basics of Yardscaping, an ecologically sound gardening strategy that minimizes or eliminates the use of pesticides and fertilizers, thereby reducing harmful downstream effects. Learn about choosing the right plant for the right place with plants that are well adapted to our area, which in turn enriches biological diversity. We'll take a virtual look at the Pollinator Garden as well as identifying invasive species and exploring non-invasive alternatives. This program, led by University of Maine Extension Master Gardener volunteers Allan Amioka and Ginger Laurits, is part of the All Seasons Garden series brought to the Wells Reserve at Laudholm by University of Maine Extension Master Gardener Volunteers.
