Sacred Conversations on Faith & Race is a collaboration of The Congregational Church, UCC in Tryon Tryon, St. Luke’s CME, and Tryon United Methodist Church, that is open to all.
Bring open minds and hearts as we discuss race and faith, working to build the beloved community with God. For our fall 2020 gatherings we will focus on learning about and discussing issues of racial injustice through the lens of regional and local history. Articles and preparation material may be emailed out prior to each gathering.
We are always open to collaborating with other faith communities as interest is expressed. We look forward to this being an ongoing, community wide conversation.
Please note that The Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in Tryon, is an Open & Affirming congregation that welcomes persons of all ages, races, social and economic circumstances, sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions, abilities and church backgrounds to participate in the life and ministry of our church. We strive to create a safe and inclusive space at all our events for those who choose to attend, and ask that all participants honor this spirit of welcome and hospitality.
