Join us for this webinar to learn (or re-learn!) how you can effectively use digital advocacy to #RaiseYourHand for education.
COVID-19 has created the largest education disruption in history, with the number of out-of-school children growing substantially for the first time in decades. The urgency to act on education has never been greater.
The pandemic has further exacerbated and entrenched already existing inequalities in access to education. In particular, children and youth living in humanitarian emergencies are forced out of school without a guarantee that they will ever go back, causing devastating impact on a myriad of different elements of their life – including their future earning potential.
-Laura Kelly, Communications Coordinator at Results Canada
-Taryn Russell, Head of Advocacy at Save the Children Canada
-Tineka Levy, Humanitarian Advisor at Save the Children Canada
Here is what you can expect to learn:
-The barriers that children and youth living in humanitarian emergencies face when accessing education
-What can be done to alleviate those barriers and narrow inequalities
-How social media is an effective and impactful tool for digital advocacy
-Tips for using social media to amplify issues you care about.
There will be time to interact with other participants, plus a question and answer period to wrap it all up. We hope you will leave feeling motivated to #RaiseYourHand for education.
