The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council is proud to present A Path to Food Justice: the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan Virtual Release.
Join us for this engaging virtual release event for our region’s first food action plan. As the COVID-19 pandemic, economic turmoil and rising racial injustice have laid bare, the time for food systems change is now. With over 750 resident voices and the contributions of dozens of business, nonprofit, university, community, and government partners, the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan is a community-centered set of strategies that prioritize healthy, affordable, and sustainable food for all.
We invite you to join us to learn about our findings and the next steps in advancing a shared vision for food systems change. Participants will hear from frontline leaders working to nourish our communities, protect our shared natural resources, and forward equity across our region’s food system. Participants will also learn how they can get involved, align with ongoing efforts, and push forward together.
