Connect the Dots is a joint collaboration between multiple early education and mental health professionals across Kentucky to include Division of Child Care, Head Start, and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialists. The collaboration was built to address the need for a concise yet high impact skills-based training for early education professionals on how to address challenging behaviors through learning the basics of social and emotional best practices. During this workshop teachers will learn about the second dot: Encourage positive behavior to help the child link positive behaviors to healthy relationships. Connect the Dots will reduce frustrating and challenging behaviors but more importantly begin the development of strong social and emotional skills critical for success in school and in life!
• Participants will learn to use proven skills to help children link positive behaviors to positive experiences and feelings.
• Participants will identify ways to connect positively with children in their classroom.
The fee for these workshops has been funded by a generous grant from the Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky from Coronavirus Relief Fund.
