Finger Lakes Land Trust Ecology Series - Current and Emerging Threats to Our Forests by Invasive Insects and Diseases
Non-native, invasive forest pests have emerged as the most important economic and ecological threat to our eastern forests. We have learned many lessons from the emerald ash borer, Asian longhorned beetle, and hemlock woolly adelgid, but there are new pests emerging.

Join Mark Whitmore, Forest Entomologist and Director of the New York State Hemlock Initiative at Cornell University, for a presentation on lessons learned from current and emerging pests. Mark will also address methods we can implement to mitigate their impacts.
