Join the Tennessee Women in Green for a digital meeting in Zoom! Our speakers this month will be Shelby Moran and Kate Myers of Warner Music Nashville. In addition to their demanding roles as the head of Tour Development and the WEA Radio & Streaming Coordinator, respectively, Shelby and Kate are co-chairs of the Warner Music Nashville Green Team, WMGreen.
The employee-driven enterprise has made strides toward their goal of 90% waste diversion by implementing composting and additional recycling services, donating surplus food from events to local organizations, eliminating single-use items from offices, working with sustainable vendors and more. WMGreen has partnered with numerous organizations in the local Nashville community to drive change and encourage sustainability. Warner Music Nashville has also been recognized by Get Food Smart TN, a statewide program that seeks to promote using food wisely and enhance the sustainability of Tennessee’s food resources, for its commitment to reducing food waste and increasing food recovery. The successful initiative has proved a catalyst for the entirety of Warner Music Group, with local WMGreen committees beginning to form across the globe.
In Tour Development, Shelby represents Warner on all aspects of tour related business, market and promotional tours, artist calendars and scheduling, ticket buys and budgets, tour marketing, special events/showcases, and tour marketing budgets. Her love for the environment and sustainability is rooted in the outdoors and food equality.
Kate Myers is the WEA Radio & Streaming Coordinator and helps WMN artists take advantage of promotional opportunities across the country by planning contests and events, analyzing radio charts and trends, and coordinating artist interviews and audio content. Kate is currently working from home with her two pet bunnies, exploring a low waste lifestyle and filming YouTube videos about minimalism and mindfulness in her spare time.
