How is surface water quality protected in Arizona?

Join us April 13 at 9:30 a.m. for a virtual Coffee Break to learn more about how surface waters are protected in Arizona and what you can do to help safeguard these precious resources. The talk will be led by Dr. Erin Jordan from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. The agency was recently tasked with creating a Protected Surface Waters List as part of the state’s new Surface Water Protection Program, which safeguards certain waters not already covered by the federal Clean Water Act. Dr. Jordan will explain how all this works in Arizona for various kinds of waterways and the paths forward for protecting these waters for the benefit of our public health and environment.
