Webinar: Safe, Connected, and Engaged: Building Responsive & Respectful Relationships with DV Families in Shelter
This workshop will discuss how creating safe and welcoming environments encourages domestic violence families to engage in program services. The presentation will also cover practical strategies and trauma-informed interventions that advocates can utilize to create respectful and responsive relationships with families in shelter settings.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe two ways to create a safe shelter environment to enhance connections with survivors residing in shelter using the six trauma-informed principles.
2. Describe at least four qualities of a responsive and respectful working relationship.
3. Identify at least one strategy for safely engaging and meaningfully connecting to distressed families in shelter.

**Each person must register separately.**

Continuing Education Credits:
Counselors: This program has been approved for 1.5 CE clock hours by the Louisiana Counseling Association as authorized by the Louisiana Professional Counselor Licensing Board of Examiners.

Social Workers: Approved for continuing education by Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LaFASA).
