There can be no recovery without creativity! Recently, Americans for the Arts and a coalition of 100 creative economy organizations co-developed a new 15-point policy proposal for the presidential candidates, Congress, and other local and state elected leaders to Put Creative Workers to Work. This proposal outlines measures to directly employ artists and creative workers, encourage employment by local, state, tribal, and private sector partners, invest in creativity as a tool for innovation, reimagination, and rebuilding, and more. There are currently over 1,300 endorsements from individuals and creative organizations on the proposal, including AAAE—and we’re hoping to add even more endorsements, including from the various arts administration programs that produce so many of those future workers, as we seek to demonstrate complete unity from the creative field.
Join Clay Lord, Vice President of Strategic Impact, as he walks through the 15 policy points, gathers feedback and thoughts from AAAE members, and outlines the next steps being taken up by the coalition and the field.
