We feel it's really important to talk about some of the common issues in ballet- POINTE. Why it's especially important to identify when you are ready to go on pointe. Hint: It's not on your birthday. Everyone is different and our training and bodies vary from studio to studio. So how do we know if our body is ready for POINTE? Come and learn from the best in the industry!
Dr. Aimee Martel has created a program to get dancers ready for pointe and she helps dancers stay strong for the training of becoming a professional ballerina. Josephine Lee, the owner of The Pointe Shop travels all around the country fitting pointe shoes professionally. The thing we love about her is that she doesn't have an issue telling you that you aren't ready for pointe or that the injury that you have been rehabbing isn't strong enough to continue training at the moment. Why does she do this? Because she cares about the dance community. She doesn't just sell shoes, she wants you to be the best you can be today and continue to be the best in the future.
Some of the topics we will be discussing are:
