The Fondation François-Lamy is a non-profit organization that has been on the of Île d'Orléans for more than 40 years! The mission of the Fondation François-Lamy is to preserve the history of the island, recount its stories from yesterday to today, highlight historic places and share the memories of what life was like for its founding families. With the Maison de nos Aïeux (House of Our Ancestors) and the Maison Drouin, the
organization has worked for decades to share the secrets of Île d'Orléans that have been well-preserved for centuries.

Sabrina Gamache-Mercurio is passionate about travel, history and genealogy. She has been a chartered genealogist since 2017 and is a graduate of Laval University where she studied Ethnology. Since 2012, she has been working at the Fondation François-Lamy, a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the heritage of Île d'Orléans, Quebec.
