Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) grantees have a unique opportunity to engage with supportive service partners in their communities to complement the implementation of effective programs and address the needs of youth and families at a systems level. Multi-disciplinary supportive networks can include local clinics, schools, youth-serving organizations, faith-based groups, state and local public health agencies, juvenile justice centers, group homes, and mental health providers. However, activating such a varied network of supportive services and establishing relationships with new and existing partners can be challenging for TPP Project Directors.
This affinity group aims to bring together TPP20 Tier 1 Project Directors (or designee) who are tasked with fostering a cohesive network of partners. An affinity group offers participants the opportunity to discuss common successes and challenges in a supportive environment among their peers. During this session, participants will be able to share challenges and successful strategies for engaging partners, and learn from others in the field about investing in supportive services. Participants will be approved after registering through Zoom, and will be capped at 75 participants.
