The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) invites you to join our event “Improving Knowledge exchange funding and priorities: Engaging with businesses”, run in collaboration with Research England. The event will take place on Monday 27 June 2022, from 10:00 – 11:30. This discussion event will be conducted via Zoom.
Knowledge exchange - the process through which academic ideas and insights are shared, and external perspectives and experiences brought into academia - includes work by universities with business including contract research, consultancy, collaboration and professional support. Research England are currently undertaking a ‘Review of knowledge exchange funding’ (see here: https://www.ukri.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/RE-040422-KEReviewStakeholdersEngagementAndEvidence.pdf). The purpose of this is to, ‘review approaches to knowledge exchange funding’ in the context of this government’s policy priorities including innovation and levelling-up.
The purpose of this event is to give business and university representatives the opportunity to provide feedback on current funding and support mechanisms and suggest what more can be done.
We will be joined by Rachel Tyrrell, Associate Director of Knowledge Exchange and colleagues from Research England as well as university and business professionals from across the UK.
