Caregiver Workshop - Combatting Social Isolation and Loneliness
This presentation is aimed for caregivers to enhance awareness and learn how to overcome and combat social isolation and loneliness. This presentation will be given by a 4th Year Nursing student from the University of Saskatchewan through the Saskatoon Council on Aging (SCOA). The session will include a 45-minute presentation on social isolation and loneliness and conclude with small, student nurse-led, group discussions. The focus of this workshop is to enhance awareness of loneliness and social isolation and to connect caregivers with each other and available community resources.
