This week, break up your case of the Mondaze and “zoom-in” on unique aspects of the Morris-Jumel Mansion Museum! Feed your body and your brain at 1 pm. during your lunch break as MJM educators and staff give a brief overview of the mansion’s history, before choosing one of their favorite elements of the 255 year old historic house and its collections to highlight for you!
Lectures begin at 1pm EST There will be a 5-10minute Q&A following each lecture, so we encourage you to tune in live if you can! Whether you’re a long time friend, or virtually visiting MJM for the first time, join us to find out what makes MJM such a unique part of New York and American history!
Virtually visit the mansion’s unique collection of “early Transformers," as museum educator Meg Lynch, "zooms-in” on 18th and 19th century pieces of multi-purpose furniture. View these pieces from vantage points you could never see in person, while you learn more about each transformer (and we might dispel a furniture myth or two!)
