Health Equity Workshop: Women's Reproductive Rights

Please join the Equity Committee on Tuesday, March 21st at 8pm in a discussion on the barriers to healthcare among women and those identifying as women. This will be an all-around discussion from economic barriers to reproductive legislation.

We will be joined by Maria Phillis, MD, a board certified OBGYN and maternal fetal medicine fellow in Cleveland, OH. Prior to medical school she was an attorney in the area of child protection and juvenile justice. She currently serves on the Executive Board of Preterm Cleveland and the Executive Board of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

The format of this one-hour session will include a 30-minute presentation of barriers followed by an interview style discussion of how a single payer healthcare could help to mitigate the barriers women are facing. We hope you will join us to discuss how Medicare for All could change the landscape of women's health and consider joining our battle in the future!
