Business Prep

Take our Business Preparation class Online to learn business basics and develop networks. The 10-week class provides an overview of target market analysis, fundamental business operations, and basic business finance principles. You will develop foundational business skills and complete a basic business plan, outlining your business goals and strategies to achieve them.

In session one, you will review general zoom participation info, sign the social contract, meet the instructor, establish norms, and go over the syllabus.

Business Prep Ground Rules:

As a Business Prep participant, you agree to:

Have your camera turned on during all class sessions and be ready to actively participate
Complete all required readings and submit assignments between classes
Select ONE business idea for which you will complete all course assignments
Submit a Business Plan by the last class and conduct a short presentation
*We strongly encourage students to join using a computer to get the best experience. Phones can be utilized if there is no other option available.
This course includes 2 free hours of one-on-one business advising for those who submit a business plan draft on the last day of class. Disclaimer: You must be an East Bay Resident meeting demographic requirements before consulting is approved.
