Financial Internal Controls and review of the effectiveness of Internal Controls.

All councils, no matter what their size must have internal controls in place; these controls are designed to protect the finances held by local councils. In this session we discuss the appropriate controls and we also look at the mandatory, annual review of the effectiveness of them. Undertaking an effective review, or indeed any review of this kind, may be something that your council has not done in the past. This session is relevant for all councillors and clerks because it deals with duties that all councils must perform.
