Radical Ecology: A Conversation
On April 28 at 5:30 PM, Northeast Wilderness Trust will welcome author Eileen Crist as part of our Spring 2021 Speaker Series. Join Eileen to envision an ecocentric path towards a future where all living beings may thrive. Together, we will contemplate the current ecological crises of Earth, and how they are linked to an implicit, often unquestioned view of human supremacy above other living beings.
Attendees are encouraged to read The Sun Interview "Our Great Reckoning" [] prior to the event. All are welcome to submit advance questions and comments by April 21 to The event will begin with a reflection by Eileen on guest's submissions, followed by a group discussion and conversation.

Eileen Crist is Associate Professor Emerita of the Department of Science, Technology, and Society at Virginia Tech. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Boston University, and a B.A., also in sociology, from Haverford College. She is the author of two books and numerous articles and academic papers, and is Associate Editor of The Ecological Citizen. Eileen’s work focuses on the ecological crisis and its root causes and pathways toward creating an ecological civilization.
