California Town Hall Meeting: Poetry in Times of Crisis with Lucille Lang Day, Ruth Nolan, and Molly Fisk
Poets & Writers continues its series of California Virtual Town Halls in service to the literary community with a special presentation by Lucille Lang Day and Ruth Nolan, co-editors of Fire and Rain: Ecopoetry of California (Scarlet Tanager Books, 2018), and Molly Fisk, editor of California Fire & Water: A Climate Crisis Anthology (Story Street Press, 2020), who will speak on the power of poetry to connect, inspire, and transform in times of crisis. This is also an opportunity to connect with one another and learn more about P&W resources, including mini-grants for literary events.

Our goals for these convenings are to foster community and strengthen connections, help facilitate an exchange of information and resources, encourage literary activity, educate and inform, and share information about P&W resources, including our mini-grants in support of virtual readings and workshops.

Please note that by registering to attend, you agree to allow Poets & Writers to record this event for use on any of our platforms without any obligation or further approval. For those who can’t make it, the event will be shared on our YouTube channel.

This activity is supported in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency.
