Farm Resilience Plans information event

Join us and Fieldfare Ecology LTD to find out how availing of a free farm resilience plan could benefit your farm business in the Binevenagh area.

Availing of the farm resilience plans is free, and plans will be developed on a one-to-one basis and specifically tailored to each participating farm. They will provide a working document which can be used to apply for existing and future funding through various schemes such as DAERA (Environmental Farming Scheme and Forest Expansion Scheme) and from the Woodland Trust.

Our key speaker will be Dr Michael Meharg from Fieldfare Ecology who farms a 250-hectare suckler cow enterprise in Co Antrim, which includes conservation grazing of several protected sites in Northern Ireland. Since 2018 Michael has been working with the Lough Neagh Partnership to deliver a Farming Group Scheme. Using the Environmental Farming Scheme programme he has completed 136 farm plans which have enabled draw down of over £3.5 million in the Lough Neagh Partnership area.
