Classes are a combination of different styles incorporating dance fitness as well as music led strength, toning and cardio routines to give you a great all-over workout! There may be some floor based exercises (including planks and push-ups) and there will most definitely be some burpees, high knees and high kicks in the mix. We may also include some tracks with toning sticks. If you don't have your own, then you can choose to do the tracks without them or use a substitute. Because of the way the sticks are used, they should not be heavier than 0.5kg and if using dumbbells, then you must not shake them. If you can make something of your own that shakes (e.g. filled with rice or sand) and that you can easily grip with your hands, then fantastic!
Make sure you have a sweat towel and water bottle handy and be sure to take things at your own pace and adapt movements as and when you need to. Give yourself as much space as possible but work with your surroundings and tone down any movements where necessary. Please allow 45 minutes for a session but this may vary slightly from class to class.
