Many organizations or programs wonder how to create a culture that fosters respect and trust. We will begin by looking at the five behaviors of a cohesive team and discuss how to create a healthy environment and how to avoid dysfunction. The foundation of creating a positive work environment is trust. Getting to know your coworkers/teammates is the first step in building trust because you're showing genuine interest in each other's lives. When you get to know your coworkers you may find that you work better together, get along well and understand each other more. But trust doesn't happen overnight! We will begin exploring our diverse personalities by discovering our "true colors". As we learn more about all the members of a the team, we can begin to build trust. We will leave the session with an action plan on how we can use our "true colors" to add to a positive work environment.
