Enrollment Trends at Regional Public Universities

Recruiting a new generation of learners to your institution is a complex undertaking. Wiley University Services will share new findings on the state of the education market from the latest Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data (a preview of the full report that will be released in late February 2023). This virtual summit will convene subject matter experts who engage at all stages of the student journey to discuss trends and strategies nationally and among regional public universities that may help guide program planning cycles and lead to stronger enrollment and retention. Participants will spend time in facilitated breakout sessions to discuss challenges and solutions from their own institutions.

Results from recent surveys have shown that the current generation of online learners has specific needs when looking for, enrolling in, and completing a program. According to Inside Higher Ed’s 2022 Survey of College and University Chief Academic Officers, 85% of universities plan to expand their online offerings. How do the university leaders that are tasked with tracking trends in student data and shaping the strategies that will guide the university forward filter out the noise to craft and implement policies that will uplift the entire learning ecosystem? In part two of this virtual summit, leaders from Wiley University Services will share student-driven data and actionable insights, as well as guide participants through design thinking–inspired discussions to gain perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing them as they strive to champion the student voice.
