Iklaina Hidden Secrets || Michael Cosmopoulos
Join us for our upcoming lecture in CYA's Virtual Lecture Series featuring guest speaker Michael B. Cosmopoulos, The Hellenic Government-Karakas Family Foundation Professor in Greek Studies and Professor of Archaeology at the University of Missouri—St. Louis. He will present "Iklaina: Hidden Secrets" on Wednesday, 29 March, at 12 pm Eastern US / 7 pm Athens Time.

Discover the fascinating history of Iklaina, a dazzling Mycenaean center that was even mentioned in Homer's epic poem, The Iliad. The excavation of the 3,000-year-old Mycenaean palace in Greece's southwest Peloponnese has uncovered murals and Linear B tablets, which sheds light on the creation of what may have been the first federal state in the Western world.

Don't miss this excellent opportunity to learn about this latest archaeological discovery in Greece and its implications for our understanding of ancient history. Our very own CYA Professor and field archaeologist, Hüseyin Çınar Öztürk, will offer a short commentary and facilitate the discussion.

Register and join us for an engaging and educational lecture!
