CCS Friday - Addiction and Faith

Join us on Friday, March 31, 2023 at noon (Winnipeg time) for an online discussion of addiction ministry. Our special guest will be Ed Treat from the Centre of Addiction and Faith. Ed believes churches are poised to make a dent in the opioid crisis because they have locations in tiny rural communities that may not have other local supports like a doctor or social worker available in town.  He’ll help us explore the scope for developing an addiction ministry team that takes actions such as providing resources on addiction in libraries, getting narcan training, and training people to support those living with or recovering from addiction.  We’ll have a chance to explore addiction and recovery in a Biblical text.
