By popular demand: this webinar is the first of two to discuss practical elements of what advocacy looks like in the counseling profession. This webinar will highlight the Advocacy Competencies, including a discussion of how the competencies came to be. Then, presenters will explore the application of the Advocacy Competencies in each of our individual stories and work with clients, addressing advocacy at a micro-level. This webinar will address struggles to enact the Advocacy Competencies, as reflected in participants' experiences, and propose insights on how the Competencies shift given our current climate. Special attention to addressing the Competencies in context of the Presidential Election will be given.
