About the webinar:
How do you design programs and events that are inclusive to people of all abilities? This workshop will provide an overview of Inclusive and Universal Designs, and include both practical tips and hands-on opportunities for learning. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of inclusive design principles, including how to modify or adapt existing programs and how to proactively design events using inclusive strategies.
About the facilitator:
Piper Slowinski has been working at PYD since early 2012. She has a B.A. from Gettysburg College in a self-created major focusing on child development and disability, and a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. Piper had a form of cancer while growing up, and that experience having a temporary disability instilled in them the desire to be an advocate and ally to the disability community. She has worked with people with disabilities for the past 13+ years. When she’s not at work, Piper enjoys hiking and camping, video games, D&D, and geeking out over all things sci-fi/fantasy.
