TCMS Business of Medicine: Virtual Advocacy in Action

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The foundation of advocacy is lasting relationships
built on respect and trust. Advocacy in Action will
help you understand the importance of legislative
relationships and provide tools to establish and build
upon this foundation. You will learn how to craft effective
messaging, identify your personal stories, conduct
legislative visits, and build long-lasting relationships–and
all by using your smart phone. You will hear about the
upcoming legislative session and how to prepare for it.

OBJECTIVES:
• Explore the cornerstones of a productive relationship,
• Discuss how to garner trust and respect in your
relationships,
• Identify the value of “effective listening,”
• Discover grassroots advocacy tools that get results, and
• Create your personal action steps/checklist.
