Presented by Dr. Nicole Stargell
Join us for the first presentation in the NCACES 2021-2022 Webinar Series.
Telemental health counseling occurs when a professional counselor is located in one place, the client is in a different location, and they communicate via technology. Professional counselors can offer telemental health counseling through the active and relevant license under which they offer face-to-face counseling services. Although no separate licensure is required, each licensing board has their own laws regarding the provision of telemental health counseling services and the supervision of such services. In this presentation we will explore considerations that educators and supervisors should make when working with students or new counselors who wish to offer telemental health counseling services.
