REACHing Parents Lesson 3: Solving Problems Peacefully
REACHing Parents is a series of 6 sessions targeted for families of young children. It includes materials for home practice and a guide for agency staff. The curriculum is based on the “Pyramid Model for Supporting Social-Emotional and Reducing Challenging Behaviors”.

Goals:
Provide background information and concrete strategies to support children’s social-emotional development
Increase parent-teacher partnerships in teaching and scaffolding social-emotional skills for school and life success. This series is a companion to REACH Teacher Training

Lesson 3 Objectives:
Learn strategies that teach children to express their feelings with words and to understand others have feelings too. Learn a specific set of steps to walk children through problem-solving while activating thinking skills (executive functioning).
