IWILTA Virtual July Event on Winning Women: Overcoming Adversity in Primary Elections
Join us for our first ever virtual alumnae brunch! The event will feature a panel discussion with women who recently ran in competitive primary races so that delegates and alumnae can learn from their experiences of overcoming campaign challenges, sexism, and other adversity.

We are honored to welcome Kim Du Buclet (Commissioner, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, IWIL '12), Betsy Dirksen Londrigan (Democratic Nominee, IL-13, IWIL '17), Theresa Mah (Representative, State of IL 2nd District, IWIL '13) and Marie Newman (Democratic Nominee, IL-03, IWIL '17) to share their experiences in recent races and LaToya Greenwood (Representative, State of IL 114th District, IWILTA Board) as our moderator.

The first hour of the event will be the discussion featuring women candidates and the last 30 minutes will allow for attendees to network in breakout rooms with panelists, board members, and other alumnae.
