Fact Book Findings Lunch and Learn: In 2021, Chicagoans Who Borrowed Least, Paid Most for Closing Costs
In 2021, people of color and borrowers with low- to moderate income took out smaller loans with greater closing costs than white and higher-income borrowers.

At the same time, lending to borrowers of color and those with low- to moderate income increased in the unregulated market. Learn more about what we found and why it matters at Woodstock Institute’s upcoming Lunch and Learn presentation on the new Community Lending Fact Book 2021 Data Edition and forthcoming Data Portal.

Our research team will review the findings, share what we've learned, and describe what we’re working on based on the data. We will invite attendees to share feedback and request new features for future editions of the Data Portal and Fact Book and we will also discuss lending pattern changes from 2020 to 2021.
