Answer Cancer - Cervical Cancer Awareness, Screening & Prevention Training

Cervical cancer can be prevented. Cervical Screening saves lives. This training seeks to show women how they can protect themselves and share messages through their networks that may help family, friends and co-workers do the same. This session will be interactive, fun, and full of facts, key messages and information to take away and share with others.

By the end of the session participants will:
- Have greater understanding of Cervical Cancer, Risk Factors & early Signs & Symptoms
- Understand the importance of Cervical Screening: Eligibility, What’s Involved and HPV
- Learn Screening Protection and Prevention Benefits
- Know ‘Key Messages’ to share with others
- Sign-up to become a Greater Manchester Cancer Champion
- Make a 'Plan' to share learning and 'turn learning into practice'

This session is open to anyone living within the Greater Manchester area with an interest in promoting positive cancer awareness messages to family/friends/work colleagues or anyone else within your local community.

Answer Cancer is a Voluntary Community & Social Enterprise sector-led response to cancer in Greater Manchester. It is the working name of the Greater Manchester Cancer Screening Engagement Programme, a Voluntary Sector partnership working to improve cancer awareness across the region.
