SUD Family Navigator Training

This is a 16-hour training. Attendance all 4 days is required.
In March 2021, WSCC was awarded a special funding grant from the Health Care Authority/Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery to create a community-based family program to develop Family Navigators across Washington State. These Family Navigators will be trained with the most up-to-date information around Substance Use Disorder (SUD), addiction and its effects on the adolescent brain, skills for families navigating their relationship with someone with SUD, and systems navigation.

WSCC is honored to have been chosen to facilitate statewide Family Navigator trainings, as well as regional trainings for each of the 10 Family, Youth, System Partner Roundtable (FYSPRT) regions, in order to increase knowledge on how to provide one-to-one peer coaching, socialization, peer group support, education groups, and resource referral and linkage. This training will be a 16-hour training for parents, family members, and caregivers who are interested in learning how to support their loved ones with SUD.
