REACHing Parents: Lesson 2 - Rituals and Routines
REACHing Parents is a series of 6 sessions targeted for families of young children. It includes materials for home practice and a guide for agency staff. The curriculum is based on the “Pyramid Model for Supporting Social-Emotional and Reducing Challenging Behaviors”.

Goals:
Provide background information and concrete strategies to support children’s social-emotional development
Increase parent-teacher partnerships in teaching and scaffolding social-emotional skills for school and life success. This series is a companion to REACH Teacher Training

Lesson 2 Objectives:
Learn and use consistent home routines to promote healthy social-emotional development as well as health and safety. Promote understanding that the safety children derive from consistent routines and nurturing rituals puts the train in learning mode.
