This collective impact session will be facilitated by Drama Therapist, Sara Renauer-Reid from the Institute of Therapy Through the Arts.
Sara is a recent transplant from San Francisco, where she earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology with Drama Therapy Emphasis from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Since earning her degree she has worked in Oakland public and charter schools providing school and community based therapy with children and families. Prior to studying drama therapy, she worked for eight years as an actor, improv performer, and theatre teaching artist in San Francisco, Cincinnati, and her hometown of Louisville. In San Francisco, she had the honor of co-planning and co-facilitating an adaptive drama program designed for special education classrooms. She has worked in a number of different settings, including classrooms, community centers, and prisons. She believes strongly in the transformative ability of the arts and the healing power of play!
