PFCC.Connect Conversation: Preserving the Essence of Family Presence during the Current Phase of the Pandemic: Supportive Strategies for Patients, Families, and Staff
With the advent of the Omicron variant, the number of COVID cases have risen dramatically. Once again, hospitals and health systems are struggling to care for patients. Clinicians and other staff are exhausted as the pandemic approaches its third year. There are also significant staff shortages. In response, many hospitals are again restricting family presence and participation.
These informal conversations are participatory in nature, building on the experience and strengths of those who join the call. We do not do a presentation but rather let the discussion be guided by what the participants want to learn more about through the sharing of our collective experiences. Please join us for this timely conversation, learn how others are trying innovative approaches to ensure safe family presence, and help develop strategies supportive of patients, families, staff and clinicians.
Bev Johnson, President and CEO, and Deborah Dokken, Coordinator, Patient and Family Partnerships, will facilitate the discussion.
