New CS Teacher Virtual PD Workshop
Join CodeHS for a FREE 2-hour, VIRTUAL professional development workshop this summer!

In the first half of this workshop, teachers learn about Karel the Dog (using Javascript) which is a great entry point for any beginning programmer! Teachers will set up their CodeHS teacher accounts, see an overview of the course catalog, learn the basics of the CodeHS IDE, experience a lesson from the student perspective, and debrief about instructional strategies. In the second half, teachers will learn about some of the tools on the CodeHS platform including code review, the CodeHS grade book, access controls, and how to add/create custom content. No prior CodeHS or computer science experience required.

Date: Friday, June 11th
Time: 1-3 PM CT

Technical Requirements: Get set up with CodeHS quickly and easily! As a fully web-based platform, all you need is a modern web browser and access to the internet. Teachers can set up an account, create their classes, and invite students to join in under 5 minutes. No software or downloads are required!

Signing up for a CodeHS teacher account ahead of time is not required, but if you'd like to, start here:
